‘I’m not proud I’m at work’: Zodwa Wabantu reveals her booking fee

Controversial dancer Zodwa Wabantu is trending after she revealed her booking fee while clapping back at arrogant fans.

Controversial entertainer Zodwa Wabantu is trending after she revealed her booking fee in one of her recent Instagram posts. No doubt she has been busy and booked of late.

Since her thrust into the limelight, she has performed worldwide but has also had her fair share of criticism. She has been banned from performing in some countries, including Zimbabwe.

Against her newfound fame, she made it known that she is always booked because of her reasonable booking fees, leaving many to guess how much she charges.

In 2022, she revealed to the media that she charges R35 000 to perform. However, it seems the hype has fizzled out, and Zodwa Wabantu has since slashed her booking fees.

Taking to Instagram, Zodwa Wabantu shared one of her recent gigs, but her raunchy performance did not convince Mzansi. Since it dropped, Zodwa Wabantu’s post has gained thousands of comments and reactions.

One of her followers made it known that her career had turned south and was no longer relevant. Against the backlash, the controversial dancer clapped back at some fans as she revealed her booking fee.

Zodwa Wabantu said, “Forcing how. I’m Paid R25 000 to be in this Venue. I didn’t show up. I’m paid to do what I want; I do whatever I want whenever you see a poster with my name. Get your money, too.”

Another user asked if she was OK with posting her controversial performances on social media. The controversial dancer said, “I’m not proud I’m at work.”

Over the years, Zodwa Wabantu has wowed many thanks to her business empire. She reportedly has a few apartments which she rents out to tenants. In 2019, she took to social media to announce her poultry business. Against the launch, actress Ntando Duma was the first celebrity to show her support.

In 2020, she launched a beauty line. She went on to launch her premium cider – Zodwa Wabantu Premium Cider.

In 2021, she rolled out Zodwa Wabantu Chicken & Eggs. She also added Zodwa Wabantu’s Undertakers Mortuary to her colourful business portfolio. She once revealed that she was opening a hair salon in Richards Bay in 2021.

“Woman loves looking beautiful; while they’ve told me that I’m ugly, I’m not pretty, so I’m showing them that anyone can buy beauty, so they have to buy it from me. So they must stop forcing me to wear make-up or to do weaves… the salon is for them,” she said.
