In a proactive move to combat illegal dumping and improve waste management practices, the City has mandated that every household must possess a designated bin for storing household waste.
These waste bins will undergo weekly collection by either the City or its authorised service providers.
Additionally, households with backyard dwellers are strongly encouraged to apply for extra waste bins. To accommodate the volume of waste generated. This initiative aims to curb instances of illegal dumping and promote responsible waste disposal habits throughout the community.
Here’s how residents can obtain a waste bin:
“No payment is required for initial issuing or replacing a bin,” stated City of Tshwane.
