Is Donald Trump’s teenage son taller than Springbok icon Eben Etzebeth?

Who would have thought?

Donald Trump has a ridiculously tall teenage son named Barron. How does he stack up to legendary Springboks star Eben Etzebeth in that department?

Barron, son of Donald Trump, is over two metres tall

18-year-old Baron Trump, born on 20 March 2006, stands 2.01m tall. In other terms, that’s 6’6″. Etzebeth narrowly shades him at a mammoth 2.03, which is fractions under 6’7″.

Etzebeth stands alone among current Springboks crop

No current South African rugby player boasts more caps than legendary lock forward Eben Etzebeth. The giant back-row star has appeared 119 times in the fabled green & gold; only Bryan Habana (124) and Victor Matfield (127) have represented South Africa more.

KOCH IS THE SPRINGBOKS ‘NERD’

And now for another bunch of trivia you didn’t ask for. Did you know that Vincent Koch, one of South Africa’s darling members of the Bomb Squad, revealed an awesome surprise talent in last year’s TimesLive interview? He’s a professional Pokémon card collector — Rare cards can sell for tens of millions of rands if they’re the right types and in mint condition. Did you collect Pokemon cards?

FAF WAS A GYMNAST

In the same interview with TimesLive, Faf De Klerk mentioned, in a typically humble tone, that he used to be a decent gymnast. We all know he was probably a lot better than decent, and there are some solid rumours that he was also an excellent cricketer. What about Steven Kitshoff? His wife Aimee said he “is an absolute whizz on water and a brilliant wakeboarder.”
